About the Cabins
Experience nature in these rustic yet comfortable hand-crafted log cabins. In this deep-woods setting within walking distance of beautiful Stevens Lake (Tamarack & Cedar), you'll have many activities available to you: fish, hunt, bird-watch, ski, snowmobile, swim, shop, eat, gamble. Or just stretch out and relax. Visitors return year after year for the peace and tranquility rarely found elsewhere.
You'll have all the luxuries of home (without all the obligations). Since the various cabins house from 6 to 10 guests, you can bring your friends and family with you! All the cabins are located in the heart of the Nicolet Chequamegon National Forest.
There is excellent fishing on many area lakes and streams. It's just 25 miles to the Eagle River Chain of Lakes. There are 3 beaches within 10 to 15 miles of the cabins and 3 different casinos within 45 miles.
The cabins are located between the Blue Ox Snowmobile Trail in Florence County, The Upper Michigan Trails in the Ottawa National Forest, The 100 Mile Snow Safari in Forest County and the Eagle River Snowmobile Trails. You can snowmobile to the trails from each of the cabins. Ski Brule in Iron River, Michigan is just 12 miles away. There are also several ATV trails next to the cabins. Make sure you leave time to go see the Paulding Light.
The Cedar Chest and Tamarack Terrace log cabins are set in a secluded, wooded area about 1/4 mile from Stevens Lake. Take a short walk to the lake along the trail and soak your feet off the 100-foot boat dock, take a boat and catch supper or enjoy a picnic lunch at the picnic area and table next to the lake.
The Hemlock Haven cabin is located about 1/4 mile from Long Lake. It is set in a very secluded wooded area with a pond right out the front door. Long Lake offers a public beach, boat dock, and landing.
The Pine River cabin overlooks the pristine Pine River. Relax in this secluded and peaceful setting, or take a quick jaunt to the public beach with boat dock and landing 3 miles away on Long Lake.
